Left to cherish his memory is his best friend of 37 years, Ann. He is survived by his five children: Cindy Flanagan, Cynthia Coleman, Joni Hinton, Nina Tataranowicz, and Dr. John Rains, Jr. He had a special love for two young men he had known and influenced thru their childhood, Nick and Nathan Chandley. He is survived by two sisters Carolyn Williams, Betty Bevel, several nieces and nephews, 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
