Johnny D. Whitley

Johnny D. Whitley, 91, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. He was born in Concord, NC to the late Dewy and May Whitley. Johnny served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 22 years. He was a loyal member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church and a member of the Kempsville Masonic Lodge. Until recently he worked at Cypress Golf Course on the weekends. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Johnny Lee Whitley (Patricia) and Patty Edney; and several grandchildren. Johnny was predeceased by his loving wife of 50+ years, Margaret Eileen Whitley. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
