Joyce Silcott Alcorn

Joyce S. Alcorn, 84, passed away on August 2, 2021. Joyce was born in Loudoun County, VA to the late Willard and Irene Silcott on November 23, 1936. She graduated salutatorian from Maury High School in Norfolk and soon thereafter married her late husband Donald on January 7, 1956. They were married for 65 years until Donald’s passing earlier this year. Joyce was a dedicated den mother, room mother, Master Gardener and never missed a sporting or scouting event of her children or grandchildren. Joyce is survived by her sons David & Charles Alcorn and grandchildren, Robert, Cara, Lauren, Tyler and Jennifer. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 10:00 at Rosewood Memorial Park, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA.
