June Patricia Truitt, 74, passed away in Virginia Beach on Sunday morning, February 26th. June was born in Virginia to Culver and Buna Edwards. She is also predeceased by her husband, William E. Truitt as well.
June worked with special needs children as a teacher’s assistant in Virginia Beach school system. She made lasting impressions on her students, who would revisit years later. She enjoyed the outdoors, music, baking , knitting, and her church family at Thalia United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, John Truitt and his wife Jennifer; daughter, Jennifer Paul and husband John; brother, Stephen Edwards and wife, Catherine; grandson, Jackson and Jacob and niece, Amanda.
