To Cathy’s family, I extend sincere prayers during this time. Years ago, I worked at Optima. Cathy and I worked inches apart, in a cul de sac-like part of the building. LOL. For awhile, it was only us in the cut. She shared so many memories of her beloved husband. She did the same of her daughters. She loved her family so much and didn’t hesitate to tell of that love. Although it’s been years since I’ve seen her, the news of her illness and passing still stings.

Please know that the love that she had for you did not end in death. It is eternal. May it be your strength during any time you need it the most.

With sympathy...

I will miss SaturdayQVC AM early watching by text together trying to see who ordered something first . Wish we were able to make that last wine trip we planned but I will always have the memories of the trips before and all the laughter we shared with brother Bill. Love you forever

There simply are no words to adequately describe Cathy’s larger than life personality. I chose this picture to share because it sums up so many things about our friendship. Laughter: Cathy and I laughed often and hard. Sometimes we laughed about legit funny things, sometimes it was something only funny to us and sometimes when things were the furthest from anything funny some how we could find a way to make each other laugh. Honestly in this picture I have no idea what we were laughing at but I do remember laughing until my sides hurt. Adventure: We had the most amazing adventures. Be it local adventures to a paint n sip event or adventures half way across the US to New Orleans, we enjoyed finding new adventures, tasting new foods (that excluded anything related to Indian cuisine of course) and experiencing life. Love: This picture was taken on a DC subway, you know you gotta have a lot of love for someone to get that close on a DC subway. Even when Cathy was being more of a mom than best friend I knew every piece of advice was given out of love because she loved me enough to tell me all the things even when she knew I didn’t want to hear them. And I will forever love her for giving me all the advice. I can still hear many pieces of her advice playing in my head and it has always served me well. While I’m sad that we will never laugh together again or share another adventure, I am forever grateful to have had the best “best friend” anyone could ever possibly be lucky enough to have.
