Kathy Louise Wells

Virginia Beach – Kathy L. Wells, 62, passed away Aug. 31, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 10, 1949 to the late Pete and Winifred Northrop. She was a member of The Women of the Moose Lodge Chapter #684 since 1993.

Kathy was above all devoted to her family. She fell deeply in love in 1964 with Lee and has loved him ever since. Kathy didn’t share the typical mother-daughter relationship with her daughters, they were more than that, they were friends. She cherished her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. It was all Kathy wanted to do to make each Christmas as special as the last.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Charlotte Cole and Judy Shoup.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 45 years Lee Wells; daughters, Melissa Hopkins and husband Ron, and Lori Wood and husband Jon; grandchildren, Trent and Ty Wood and Aaron and Anna Hopkins; sister, Ginger Chapin and husband Tom; sister-in-law, Cathy Phillips and husband Stan; and her four beloved pomeranians.
