Ken was born in Muskegon, Michigan, and later moved to Grand Rapids, where he met his beloved wife, Sharon. They recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2025.
A proud veteran, Ken honorably served in the United States Navy for 22 years. His life was marked by a deep sense of duty, discipline, and patriotism. Following his military service, he continued to impact others as an instructor at Tidewater Community College. After retiring fully, Ken and Sharon traveled the country in their RV, creating countless memories and lifelong friendships.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his sister, Donna; his daughters, Julianne, Christina, and Janet; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who loved him deeply.
Ken lived a life filled with love, adventure, and service. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home in Virginia Beach. A burial with military honors will follow at a later date.
