Larry was born on January 20, 1927 in South Norfolk and graduated from Old South Norfolk High School in 1944. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1945 and was stationed in Germany at the end of WWII. Following his military service he earned his engineering degree. He then worked for RCA, now General Electric for 10 years and eventually went to work for the Department of the Navy where he retired in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurice E. Parron, Sr. and Virginia Bonney Parron. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara F. Parron, a son, Larry Parron III, grandsons Reverend Matthew and Rich Parron, and great grandchildren Adriana and Colin Parron.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park.
