My deepest sympathy goes out to you.  I was the school psychologist for many years at Strawbridge and got to know Laurie as she often was eating lunch when I was also.  I remember when she announced that she was going to be having her first child and how excited she was.  She was a wonderful caring teacher who was willing to do whatever she needed to do to assist the "special" children she had in her class.  May you be comforted by the knowledge that she had a significant impact on the lives of so many children.

The church service was beautiful and the outpouring of love from, family, friends, and colleagues is a testament to how much Laurie was loved in her young life. What an inspiring teacher & friend to all. As you said,Pat, Laurie was a very strong person who could deal with insurmountable problems with clarity and grace. She never was self pitying and only worried about you and the kids. I'm a better person for being one of Laurie's friends. Seeing so many people whom Laurie touched  recon firmed my faith in the powers of friendship, love, selflessness, and God. I will miss her so much. My deepest sympathy to you and yours.

I taught with Laurie at Strawbridge in the early 90's ....she was a amazing and loving teacher. All of my fourth graders adored their third grade teacher. She is a special person who touched every heart!

Mrs. Dreelin was a beautiful woman.  I can remember walking into her classroom for the first time in September 1991 and thinking she was the prettiest teacher I had ever met.  Her heart for children was even more beautiful.  She will not be forgotten. Even 21 years later, I can still remember being in her classroom. God bless your family during this time.
