A Norfolk native, Louie resided in Chesapeake. He was preceded in death by his parents LCDR Louie Schwartz, Sr, USN, retired and Marie Anna Schwartz.
Louie was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a long distance truck driver for many years. He was active and a long time member of Tidewater Central Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include three sisters Marie Sawyer, Carolyn Smith and Carrie Brown, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 19 from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 20, 11:00 am at the Tidewater Central Church of the Nazarene by Pastor Jacob Snyder. Interment with military honors will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made the National Parkinson's Foundation.
