Madge G. McGinn

Mrs. McGinn was born on October 19, 1921 in Cana, Virginia to the late William Roscoe and Mattie Frances Towe. She was married to Charles Elwood McGinn who passed away in 1978. She was the co-founder and a past president of Bay Haven Garden Club and was honored by The N.G.C. as a Emeritus-Master Flower Show Judge. She was a former member of Unity Church of Tidewater, the Parents Without Partners Group and enjoyed gardening, ballroom dancing and traveling in America and throughout Asia and Europe. Our mother and grandmother was a generous and loving person who will be missed by all of her family. We loved her.

Survivors include three daughters; Charlotte F. McGinn, Linda J. Porter and Bonnie Gay McGinn; three grandchildren; Monika Ostrowski, Melissa Gay Landrum and Roscoe Charles Scarborough; five great grandchildren; Kendall Norris, Kelsey Ostrowski, Kerilynn Ostrowski, Rhys Landrum and Rhyleigh Landrum and two great great grandchildren; Olivia Norris and Sophia Norris; sisters Sally Jones, June Cooke; brother; John Towe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach with inurnment of ashes to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park followed by a reception in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to a charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers.
