Marian Louis Morris

Marian L. Morris, 93, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at a local hospital. She was born in Ortonville Michigan, daughter of the late Ralph Cross and Dorothea Hite Cross. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Eddie Morris and son Craig Morris.

Marian Morris was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to her family, friends, church and volunteer work. She was a founding member of Sun Wheelers Inc., a 40 year member of the Kempsville Women's Club and 35 year member of Thalia United Methodist Church.

Marian was the example of sociability and hospitality, always looking for ways to celebrate life. She is survived by her only granddaughter Heather Ainsley (Daniel) and two great-grandchildren, Payton and Danny, all of Knotts Island NC. She will forever be in the hearts of those she loved and those that loved her.

A small service will be held at Westminster Canterbury on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 1pm in the Holy Trinity Chapel with light refreshments to follow in the 3100 Dining Room.
