Marie Scott Bradshaw

Virginia Beach - Marie Emma Scott Bradshaw, 89, passed away August 12, 2013. A native of Eastern Shore of Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Vaden and Emma Laura Custis Scott. She was the beloved wife of 63 years of the late Bernard Elijah Bradshaw.

She is survived by her two sons, Darwin Dale Bradshaw and his partner, Michael Starkweather and Bernard Ray Bradshaw; granddaughter, Lisa Bradshaw Yakich; three great grandchildren, Casey, Elijah, and Lindsey; and two great-great grandsons, Jesse and Preston. She is also survived by numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends.

She is preceded in death by her two sisters, Bertha Bradshaw and Elizabeth Brinkley; and four brothers, Gracen, Milford, Aden, and Lurrell Scott.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wed. Aug. 14, 2013 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thurs. Aug. 15, 2013 at the funeral home. The burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Fund or the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
