Marjorie Diane Forest

Margie Forest, born with a twinkle in her eye on February 15, 1952, in Portsmouth, VA, gracefully exited the world's stage on August 7, 2026, at the vibrant age of 74. Having taken her final bow in The Villages, FL, Margie leaves behind a legacy of lively conversation and an uncanny ability to make friends faster than most people can greet a stranger.

A homemaker by title but a socialite by nature, Margie's true profession was her unparalleled talent for connection. She never met a stranger and could turn a casual run-in at the grocery store into a lasting friendship. Her home was often filled with laughter, love, and a few too many take-out bags from her favorite eatery, Chick-fil-A. Indeed, Margie believed that no day was complete without a little nugget (or twelve) of joy.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Charles David Forest, and her parents, Earl Raymond Bryan and Beulah Mae Bryan, Margie's memory lives on through her two children, Rosalyn Ann-Marie Forest and David Alan Forest. Her spirit also continues in the shared stories and familial bonds with her three brothers, Richard Austin Bryan, William Raymond Bryan, and Ronald David Bryan.

Margie had a knack for keeping up with family and friends—whether through a chat over a sweet tea or a "quick" phone call to catch up on the latest gossip. Her warmth and wit will be dearly missed by all who knew her, as she truly was a friend to everyone she met. In remembering Margie, we fondly recall her laughter, the way she made us feel like part of her family, and her ever-present invitation to share a meal and a moment together.
