Mark A Dyer

Mark Allan Dyer, 60, of Amelia County, VA went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 27, 2026, at Autumn Care Chesapeake, VA after a courageous battle with a malignant glioblastoma brain tumor. He was born on April 13,1965 in Lemoore, CA and was the son of the late Bob and Patsy Dyer. Besides his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his loving wives Margaret “Margie” Dyer and Pamela “Pam” Dyer. Also, his infant sister, Carol Lynn Dyer.

His family moved to Norfolk VA when Mark was 2 years old. He graduated in 1983 from Booker T. Washington High School and Norfolk Technical Vocational Center where he trained as a printing press operator. He worked for print shops in the Hampton Roads area. He also lived in Amelia County where he started Yellow Cat Transportation Co. transporting goods as a local & long-distance courier.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Faith Longsworth and husband Kurt of Chesapeake, VA, his brother, Lynn Dyer and wife Debbie of Calabash, NC, His niece, April Fontaine and husband Brandon. His nephew, Drew Dyer and wife Jennifer. His great niece, Kyla and great nephews Cody and Morgan. His Aunt, Peggy Evans, his uncle, Larry Dyer and cousins Greg and Todd Via. Also, some very special friends.

A visitation will be held at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, located at 601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, on February 13, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm in the same venue after the visitation. Mark will be placed at Rosewood Memorial Park following the services.

In honor of Mark’s informal fashion sense, feel free to come in casual attire. Jeans and a graphic T-shirt of your choice are encouraged.
