Martin Earl Blumenstein, 88, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Chesapeake Health and Rehab Center. Martin was born in Pittsburgh PA to the late Martin and Alice Sanderson Blumenstein and is also predeceased by his wife, Mildred Blumenstein. Martin was very loving and compassionate caregiver and devoted father. In his spare time away from his family he was a member of the Mason’s, he will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Gardner and husband Craven; sons, Terry and Gary Blumenstein; grandchildren, Jamie Johnston and husband Tyler and Trey Gardner.
A visitation will be held at 6pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with a memorial service at 7pm to celebrate his life. The family would like to thank Sentara Chesapeake Assisted Living for the great care of Martin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
