Obituary of Marvin Bradley Perry
Marvin B. Perry, 88, passed away on September 8, 2021. He was born on March 11, 1933 to the late Effie and Avery Perry in Virginia. He served in the U.S. Army, was a disabled veteran, and belonged to DAV Chapter 26. He retired from Naval Air Rework, where he spent his career as a Machinist. He was talented in many ways and loved restoring cars, woodworking, and completing home improvements (honey-do's). His love for music and dancing led him to become a DJ, where he was able to entertain others. As an avid Nascar fan, he especially liked number 3. Marvin's strong will and determination enabled him to do anything he set his mind to. His sense of humor was unforgettable. With the most captivating blue eyes, he had an impeccable character. As a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, he will be dearly missed. He will live forever in our hearts. The love and support received from family and friends will always be cherished. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruby Perry; daughter, Gloria Roundtree (Willie Roundtree); son, Marvin Perry; grandchildren, Shannon Noel, Michael Knight, and Mark Knight (Laura Knight); 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 6-8pm at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 3pm at Rosewood Memorial Park.
