What an amazing lady!! She would share her amazing stories of motherhood, marriage, and traveling with us between meetings and she was a joy to be around. I appreciate her advice and support during my first years as an AP at John B. Dey ES. Her witty personality always brightened our busy days.

Dear Doherty family,

My sincere sympathy in the loss of your lovely matriarch. Mary Ellen and I worked together for many years in the VBCPS. She was more that an outstanding social worker.
She was a very wise friend whose advice I sought and used. Above all, it was FUN working with her. She was a super lady, very professional in her job performance with wit and common sense. She was most proud of her children that were of equally high character and manner.

Bless you in your sadness, but be heartened by her influence in your lives.
