Mavis Alexander Poole, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026 at the age of 89. She was born on January 22, 1937, in North Carolina to the late Whitford E. Alexander and Edith Daniels Alexander Dean.
Mavis retired from Beneficial Finance with over 30 years of service. She was a hardworking and dedicated employee and her professional career brought her much fulfillment. Her faith was very important to her, being a charter member of Hyde Park FWB Church and also attended Bethany FWB Church. She was devoted to her church and community.
Preceding her in death was her loving husband of 67 years, Martin Etheridge Poole. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rena Poole Clark; her granddaughter, Brooke Clark; and her brother, Thurman Alexander, and his wife, Pat; and stepbrother, Paul Dean and wife Tanya. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
