
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Butler, 55, who departed this life on September 17, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on July 5, 1971, in Utica, NY, Michael lived a life full of dedication and passion, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Michael spent his professional career as an Auto Mechanic, where he was known for his skillful hands and keen eye for detail. His work was not just a job, but a testament to his love for mechanics and machinery. Michael had a profound interest in Mud Racing, particularly enjoying the thrill and camaraderie of events while driving his truck "The Freak Show".
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Beverly Ann Butler, whose memory he cherished deeply. Michael is survived by his father, David Marshall Butler, who will forever hold him dear in heart and mind. He leaves behind three children: Logan McErlean, Evan Butler, and Emma Butler, who were the light of his life. Michael is also survived by his sister, Heather Speicher (John); and his significant other, Lisa Hughes, who stood by his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Michael on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. While the burial will be private, all who knew Michael are invited to attend the celebration to remember and honor a man who lived life with passion and kindness.
Michael Butler will be remembered fondly for his humor, warm spirit, his love for animals, dedication to his trade and hobbies, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
