Michael B. Chappelle, Sr., 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Norfolk. Michael was born in Newport News, VA to the late Marion Lane Chappelle and Ruby Chappelle. Michael was a southern gentleman, he had a great sense of humor. He loved to spend time outdoors with his 5 children. Michael loved movies, music, and attending local concerts. He was a man of many trades from a volunteer firefighter/EMS, to an electrician, and even driving a limousine for the biggest of stars. But most of all Michael loved being in the garage with his boys working on cars. He attained level of master mechanic, and as an expert craftsman there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. He also cherished spending time with his young daughter Casey Grace Chappelle. She was the light of his life. Michael was larger than life, and touched the lives of all those closest to him.
He is survived by his sons, Michael B. Chappelle, Jr,. Christopher Chappelle, Taylor Lane Chappelle, Brennen Zachary Chappelle, and a daughter, Casey Grace Chappelle as well as his sister in New Mexico, Gin.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm, Friday to Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with burial to immediately follow the service at Rosewood Memorial Park. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com
