Virginia Beach – Michael E. Clontz, 38, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 at UNC Chapel Hill Memorial Hospital after a brief illness and a courageous fight. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Robert (Bucky) Bradshaw; and stepbrother, Robbie Bradshaw.
Michael is survived by his mother, Frances Bradshaw; his father, Kenneth Clontz; his brother, Kenny Clontz, all of Smithfield, NC as well as his faithful companion, Beezer. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Anita and Tim Duke; his cousins and good friends, Jim and Brandon, all of Virginia Beach.
Michael was a self-taught guitar player and performed with several local bands in the Smithfield, NC area. He enjoyed life and was a friend to everyone he met. Since he was a very relaxed and calm individual, the family requests casual attire for the visitation on Thursday evening, August 26th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, and at the service on Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
