Very sad to find out about Bub's passing, my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Once upon time, there was a neighborhood off Deer Park Dr. and South Clubhouse Dr., where a group of friends met.  These friends became the best of best friends,  Bubba Greene and his sister Pam, Teresa Martin, Paul, Bill, Bob and Suzi Swindell, Mike and Donna Hooker, Tony Luna.  These friends were pretty much a pack from Elementary to High school.  Where one went the others would follow from fishing, crabbing to surfing or just hanging out at whoever's house we landed.  I am very saddened of the loss of Bubba, he was wonderful childhood friend.  If it was not for his friendship,  I would not have the wonderful memories I have today. Words can not express how shocked and upset we were to hear of Bubba's passing. We will allways remember him as we knew him ,in his youth. Big smile, long hair, and green van. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

 A big part of my memories of growing up in the Kennett Grove neighborhood always include Bubba.  My sincerest sympathies go out to you all – Pam, Mrs. Ughetto, and all the family at this difficult time.  Bubba is now in the arms of his brother Kevin – both of whom will be remembered and missed for many, many years to come.

Mike and I were good friends at Plaza Elementary, and Plaza Jr.  He was one of the "nice" guys to hang around with! We lost touch as adults, but those times as kids.. running around having fun... will always be cherished.

Bubba will be sorely missed. He became a close family friend over the last 3 years. His generous and loving spirit greatly eased my family's grief during the passing of my father-in-law in 2009. Words cannot express how truly sorry we are for your loss.

Bubba Greene was an upstanding man.  He raised my older son Brandon T. Arko and Nikki Arko as  if they were his own.  He was also a great father to Bryce A. Greene.  My son has suffered a great loss, losing his best friend/father.

So many happy childhood memories flash in my head when I heard Bubba's name. Those memories will never be erased or forgotten. My most sincere thoughts go out to Pam, Ellen, his son and loved ones. Rest in Peace Bubba.

Our family was so sorry to hear of Bubba's death.  We knew him for 25 years through KH Carpets - he was an awesome carpet installer and a great guy.  Our sympathies to Bryce and the rest of his family.

So...there was this great, funny,sincere, dear.. dear man I met one New Yrs Eve in OBX.. at a wedding party in SHORTS! lol.(it was cold!).He became a fun and dear friend for years after. Although time and distance has been in our way the last few times we spoke he remained the same good natured, good time guy...WONDERFULto see time doesn't change everyone!! That is one thing about "Bubba" he stayed true to his name and his cause. He could be laughing one minute, sincere the next esp. when it came to his handsome son "Bryce" I don't think he was anymore proud of ANYTHING in life he accomplished than him. He often got comparisons to Kid Rock.. ha ha ..which he didn't seem to mind There is a song called "Born Free" that reminds me alotttt of Bubba if his loved ones get the chance take a look at the lyrics :)… Bubba (and Bryce) and his loving family ….GODSPEED!..I hope there is good fishing and always sunshine on your beach in your Heaven.(and NO traffic) lol.....I have nothing but the BEST memories of you my dear friend! You will be so sadly missed and OBX lost just another wonderful person but added memories for all us others like buried treasures of the sea.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Bubba for over 23 years. Hard worker, ready to help you out with any task.  I don't think I ever heard him tell anyone no.  He was a caring Father, Brother, Son, Friend.  My love and prayers go out to all who knew and loved Bub.

I have way too many memories to pick one or a select few to share.  I just know that all this week, I have laughed and oh how I've cried in thinking about our past lives.  Bubba always had my heart and always will be embraced there as a truly wonderful friend.  I will love him forever!

I will always carry him in my heart..With Bubba, there are no "goodbyes"...He had the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known..and it had given more in his short lifetime than most could even begin to give...A true man full of nothing but goodness for others.  My heart goes out to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace - he will always be that one bright star shining down on me from heaven.
