Michael D. Kessock

Michael Kessock, 63, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 unexpectedly at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Port Jervis, New York, to Thomas McCall Kessock and Caroline Helt. Mike lived in Port Jervis most of his life before settling in Virginia Beach in 1996. Michael was predeceased by his father Thomas Kessock and mother Caroline Helt, and his father-in-law Chris DeVries in 2011.

He is survived his loving wife of 35 years Christy Kessock; his son Aaron Kessock and his wife Jannie of Virginia Beach, VA; his daughter Amiee Kessock and significant other Justin Foster of Virginia Beach, VA; his four grandchildren, Autumn Aspen, Jayden and Ryleigh; his brother Ralph “Skippy” Marino; five sisters Terry, Audrey, Laurie, Cathy and Joanie; and several nieces and nephews.

Mike enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and cooking. He will always be remembered for his “Sunday Dinners”.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10:00 am at Rosewood Memorial Park Chapel of Serenity Mausoleum, conducted by Chaplin Richard Moon.
