I remember our house on Spruce Street. My earliest memories are the yard, the porch that old oak tree out front and the house that you and Daddy made.
I remember our walks to the store in the old days.
I remember the roses you grew in front of the house.
I remember you getting me my first puppy
I remember our first fishing trips
I remember our trips to the marshes to get bait and crabs.
I remember riding in the car with you and Sandy to take dad lunch on a job site, or just to check on him.
I remember your cat eyeglasses in the old days and your big hair.
I remember our fishing trips on Granddaddy’s boat and the fun we all had.
I remember when I was five or six, I got mad at you and said I was running away. You packed my bag and put me on the porch and said go ahead. It did not take me long to change my mind.
I remember each of my siblings being born including twins and wondering why we needed all of them? LOL
I remember our work to build the house on Ballahack Rd. both the struggles and the good times we had.
I remember when Daddy passed away and how your world crashed and changed forever.
I remember how you picked up the pieces and made a new life for yourself.
I remember how Robert and you made a life together and the adventures and fun you had. I remember how you loved all of your grandchildren.
I remember our times together as a family however brief at times they were, we always had fun.
I remember all our family Christmas gatherings, the silly parts, the serious parts and the loving parts.

Most of all, I remember being loved and loving you, and the joy in our eyes when we saw each other again. Mom farewell for now and I look forward to seeing that joy again soon. Hug everyone there and take some time to rest.
