Myrle Mortazavi, 81, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on February 26, 2024. Myrle was a graduate of Maury High School (1960) and Norfolk General Hospital School of Nursing (1964). She served as a registered nurse for 40 years at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA and the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Hampton, VA. Myrle spent her life selflessly caring for others and was respected by many for her wisdom.
Myrle is predeceased by her husband, Mahmood, 6 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Jaleh Shea (Jordan); her brothers Dean Sikes (Donnie) and Gene Sikes (Margaret), and numerous nieces and nephews, including Harold E. Brown, Jr., and Gail Whitaker Craig (Mark).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 2pm with a visitation one hour prior at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA., followed by a burial at Rosewood Memorial Park. You may offer your condolences at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
