Mrs. Compton was born in Suffolk, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Huldah Spady and her husband Samuel Richard Compton. She retired from Civil Service as a GS 14 after many years of service.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, from 5 to 7 pm at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road in Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 10:00 am at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach.
