Naomi Christine Poole, 85, went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2021. She was born on October 17, 1936 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Norman W. Davis and Margaret Rockwell Davis. Naomi was preceded in death by her late husband of 65 years, Herbert Lee Poole, three sisters, Norma Joan Phillips, Delores Davis, Wanda Davis, and one brother, Ronnie Davis.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debbie Lilley (Frank) and Brenda Horwatt (Craig) and grandson Jamie Andrews. She is also survived by a sister, Diane Bartles, and brothers Bob Davis, Junior Davis(Marjorie), and Roger Davis (Linda), and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Naomi was a member and active part of the Avalon Church of Christ family for over 20 years.
She was the ultimate homemaker. She was an awesome cook (known for her lemon meringue pies), made a lot of her daughters' clothes, and loved working in her yard and flowerbeds.
Also, she enjoyed traveling all over the country, including going to London with the Red Hats.
She supported Herb through the years in his homebuilding business as his personal building inspector, providing valuable feedback about each of his projects. Special thanks to Brenda Coriell and the hospice care team.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December28, 2021 at 11am at Avalon Church of Christ, 844Woodstock Road, Virginia Beach. Burial will follow at Rosewood-Kellum Memorial Park.
