Norma Frances Russo passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Leigh Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. The widow of Joseph Russo Sr., she was 88. She was born August 11, 1923 in Norfolk, VA to the late Norman A Modlin and Margaret Sue Byrd Modlin and was predeceased by her sisters Margaret Force, Marian Harris, and Ellen Gorris. Norma is survived by her Sister Grace Skinner, her children, Joseph Russo Jr, Angelo Russo Senior(Karen), Terry Russo Dissel(James), and Maria Russo-Blair(Ed) and 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. A celebration of her life will be at Kellam Funeral Home. Raised in Norfolk Virginia She graduated from Maury High School. Norma was a retired hairdresser and co- owner of Joseph's Hair Stylist. A member of the order of the Eastern Star and Lady Shriners, she also worked with the Cub Scouts as a Den Mother and Job's Daughters International. She loved Dancing and reached the level of Gold in Ballroom. Everyone whose lives she touched will dearly remember Mrs. Norma Frances Russo.
