Phyllis Comer Miller, 81, of Jack Frost Road passed away March 8th at home with her family by her side, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Gray, Georgia to George and Ruth Comer. She was preceded in death in October 2006 by her husband, John R. Miller (Zeke), they were married for 52 years. She also leaves behind two sons, John R. Miller, Jr. and wife Karen and Marc Miller; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Janis Jordan; nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Frankie Miller; and thanks for the very good care that Phyllis received from Karen. Before retiring from the Norfolk Fire Department Federal Credit Union, after many years, she was a volunteer for the Chesapeake Beach Fire Department.
A funeral service will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after the interment in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Khedive Hospital Transportation Fund.
