A native of Weatherford, TX, Mr. McMahon retired from the U.S. Navy in 1963. His second career was in local fence sales. He was a long time resident of Virginia Beach and enjoyed bowling, square dancing and golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye McMahon, a daughter, Margaret Dodd, his parents, Charles McMahon and Rebecca Kim McMahon and seven siblings.
Survivors include two daughters, Becky McMahon and Jenny McMahon (Tony Simonetta) a granddaughter, Amy Knehr and two great grandsons, Brandon and Justin Knehr.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home by The Rev. Robert F. Pittman, III.
