Randy was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Karen Faye Chadwick Bullard, with whom he shared 43 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family, and were looking forward to celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary on July 31. Randy was also a loving father to Chris (Sue), Amanda (Steve), Courtney (Jeff), and Travis (Kirsten). He was an incredibly proud grandfather to Alyssa (Josh), Brian, Isabella, Justin, Kaila, Jackson, Jericho (Grace), Logan, Noah, Kayla (Joseph), Brody, and Nathan, and was overjoyed to soon welcome his first great-grandchild. His family was the center of his world, and nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with those he loved.
A hardworking entrepreneur, Randy built a career through determination, vision, and dedication. Throughout his life, he owned and operated several successful businesses, including The Walltex Company, Tidewater Insulators, Simply Chic Salon, and Xtreme Off-Road and Accessories. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way.
Outside of work, Randy loved hitting the trails in his Jeep and embracing every off-road adventure. He also had a passion for plants, especially his beloved succulents, and found joy in caring for and growing them. Whether he was exploring a new trail, tending to his plants, or gathered with family, Randy had a gift for making people smile. He never missed an opportunity to crack a joke, lighten the mood, or bring laughter to those around him. His sense of humor and larger-than-life personality will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, James Fleetwood Bullard; his mother, Sarah Anne Talley; and his beloved sister, Carol Shankle Cooke (“Susie”). He is survived by his dear siblings; Henry Allen Shankle ("Tilly"), Tony Fleetwood Bullard (Lisa), James Michael Bullard (Emily), Gary Dean Bullard (Tammi), and Charles Richard Clark.
Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing Randy has been reunited with the loved ones who went before him. Even more, we rejoice in knowing he is in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, where there is no more pain or sorrow. We can only imagine the joyful reunion, the laughter shared with those he loved, and the peace and everlasting joy that come from being home with the Lord.
Randy’s legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply the businesses he built with hard work and determination, and the countless lives he touched through his kindness, generosity, and humor. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
