Rebecca Cortez passed away at the age of 72 at Riverside Regional Medical Center on October 3, 2026. Formerly of San Juan 2, General Trias, Cavite, Philippines, she raised her family in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Rebecca was a devoted mother, aunt, and grandmother to many, helping to raise generations with her warmth and loving nature.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Benjamin; her son and his fiancée, Christian and Molly; and her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, Kristine, Shaquille, and Kenzo.
A wake will be held at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home on October 16 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Prayers will be led at 5:30 PM, and a small reception will follow.
Rebecca will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.
