Rick was living his best life, retired, and traveling this beautiful country with his loving wife of 48 years, Gail, by his side in their RV. Rick had an amazing connection to music and the ocean. He grew up enjoying all that life had to offer.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, E. Mildred Davidson and Richard Spencer Davidson, Jr. Besides his loving wife, Gail Hutcheson Davidson, Rick is survived by two sons, Ryan Harris Davidson, and Kyle Spencer Davidson (Emily), and grandson, William Crusenberry.
Other survivors include his sister, Donna Davidson Schuler (Regis) and nephew, William L. Spence III (Ashley). Rick also leaves many other loving relatives and dear friends both in the Tidewater area and their home away from home in Juno Beach, Florida. A special thanks to the members of the “flock” for their devoted love and support.
After graduating in 1971 from F. W. Cox High School, Rick began his career in the electrical apprenticeship at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Throughout his career he worked on nearly every military base in the Tidewater area and enjoyed a 4-year stint in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Rick retired as a civil service electrician in 2006.
