Robert “Bob” Irwin Johnson, 87, passed away on Friday in Virginia Beach. He was born in Georgia to the late Jesse and Lonie Gillis Johnson. He was predeceased in death by his wife, Eleanor Lucille Johnson.
Bob has lived in the Tidewater Region since 1958 and graduated from Virginia Wesleyan in 1971, he was also a member of the Christ Presbyterian Church. He retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and was also a past member of the CPO Club.
He is cherished by his brother, Jess Johnson of Snellville, GA; sisters, Hazel Tobias of Delray Beach, FL and Pat Wilson and husband Clarence of Pensacola, FL; brother-in-law, James Calvin “JC” Flowers and wife Jeanne; special niece, Candy Russ and husband Leo of MD and children, Jamie, Alyssa and Michaela; special nephew, David Wayne Flowers and his wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach and his son Jonathan.
