

Roland was a quiet and determined man who dearly loved his family and was always helping his friends and relatives. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy during WWII and served in the Pacific during the war. After the war, he was stationed in Naples, Italy where he met his wife, Antonietta Casillo. Roland had a 25 year career in the navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in 1970 after serving on 7 ships and numerous overseas assignments.
He worked for many years as a storekeeper and supply chain specialist for the Navy Supply Center and Quick Trans Automated Terminal Services in Norfolk, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Antonietta; his son, Michael; his daughters, Annie, Jannet and Elizabeth. His memory will be forever carried in the hearts of his family.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 12pm at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. A public viewing will be at Thursday at Kellum Funeral Home from 6-8pm. Military burial honors will be rendered at Rosewood Memorial Park. Online condolences may be offered at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
