Ruby B. Maute, 92, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2016. She was a long time member of Holland Road Baptist Church. She volunteered for many years at DePaul Hospital as a Pink Lady. Ruby also enjoyed being a member of the local TOPS organization.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 70 years, Jack; her sons, James Maute (Karen) and Donald Maute (Bettie); her grandchildren, Emily and Justin Maute (Chelsea); and her granddog, Tonka. Ruby was one of 16 children and is survived by her sisters, Jackie Brown and Linda Lovette; and brothers, Floyd, Dan and Glenn Maltba, all of North Carolina.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
