Ruth Sullivan Piercy, 87, went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2015. She is predeceased by her son, “Mack” Piercy. Ruth was very active in sports and loved gardening. She retired from C & P Telephone Co. and was a longtime member that served faithfully at Gateway Free Will Baptist Church.
Ruth was the loving wife of Landon Piercy for 67 years; devoted mother to Pam Minter and her husband, Michael; mother-in-law to “Ginger” Piercy; loving grandmother to Chad Minter (Courtney), Corey Minter (Rachel), Casie Neppl (Marc), Alexandra Piercy, and Kayla Piercy; great-grandmother to Claire and Raegan Minter; sister to Keith Sullivan; she also leaves other family and friends to cherish her memory.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3pm on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Gateway Free Will Baptist Church, 5473 Virginia Beach Blvd, with the funeral service beginning at 3pm. The service will be officiated by her grandsons. Entombment at Rosewood Memorial Park will immediately follow the service. You may offer condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
