Sandra Scott Varney

Sandra S. Varney, 64, passed away on September 5, 2012. She is predeceased by her husband, Franklin D. Varney and her father, Victor W. Scott. Sandy was a Word Processing Supervisor for Kaufman & Canoles Attorneys at Law, a past Recording Secretary of NPALSA…the Association for Legal Professionals, and a member of Kempsville Church of Christ. Sandy was full of life and loved by everyone. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Gilbert; her mother, Ramonia Scott; sisters, Betty Hutton (Ron) and Jo VanBrunt; brothers, Victor W. Scott, Jr., Curtis Scott (Cathy), Cary Scott, Craig Scott (Linda), and Johnny Scott (Judy); and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 8 at Kempsville Church of Christ with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kempsville Church of Christ to be distributed to various charitable organizations.
