Shirley M. Barnhart, 91, passed away September 17, 2021. Born in 1929 in St. Louis Missouri, she married her high school sweetheart Richard O. Barnhart who preceded her in death. Shirley lost her beloved son Richard O. Barnhart Jr. just last year.
She was a vivacious woman who loved to entertain, and she never met a person she couldn’t have a conversation with. She was devoted to her family and friends and volunteered with numerous organizations to give back the many blessings she enjoyed in her life.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters Marsha (Lee), Karen (Mike), Susie, and daughter in law Diane; nine grandchildren - Becky (Chris), Rick, Brian, Jason (Jen), Meredith, Hollis, Elizabeth, two great granddaughters Sophia and Stella, great grandson Max; and many beloved nephews and nieces, including Harry who was a second son to her. The family would also like to send special thanks and love to an angel named Karen Vaughan who was brought into Shirley’s life her last month to give her excellent nursing care and comfort.
