Thomas William Sershon

Thomas William Sershon, age 64, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on February 28, 2026. He was born on November 15, 1961, in Waukegan, Illinois. A beloved and cherished man, Thomas was compassionate, devoted, faithful, generous, gentle, hard-working, honest, humorous, kind-hearted, loyal, selfless, and thoughtful—qualities that shaped the way he loved, served, and lived.

Thomas was born to John and Victoria Sershon in Waukegan, Illinois. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Navy. He faithfully served as an Information Systems Technician 1st Class and retired with 30 years of dedicated service.

Thomas met and married the love of his life, Patricia Hernandez Sershon, on March 8, 2010. Besides his parents and loving wife, Thomas is survived by children, Stephanie Parker and her husband Bradley, Kyle Sershon and his wife Crystal, and Christopher Sershon, Victoria Killinger and her significant other, Michael Porter and Doranna Killinger; grandchildren, Adora, Damien, Brantley, Ainsley, Madison, Benjamin and Noah; sister-in-law, Paula; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Thomas is predeceased by his brothers, Mark and Peter Sershon.

Thomas will be remembered as a loving son, husband, dad and granddad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and astronomy.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the same location at 2pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
