Tim- this is long overdue but I’ve needed some time to process. I wish I had lived closer and was able to spend more time with you. We had so much in common and had great times at holidays and outer banks trips with the family. I’m sad our time together was cut short- I felt we were just beginning to develop a strong bond together. You were my brother and so thankful for the way you treated my sister and Shelby. I am even more thankful that you had accepted Jesus Christ as you’re savior. I think about you a lot. I’m doing my best to make my way closer to home. I want Shelby to have as much support from her family as possible. She has grown so much and you would be so proud. I love you and miss you. 

I am still pretty new to the organization that I worked with Tim for and am still learning and getting used to certain things that we are required to do.  Safety wire is a big part of ensuring that the systems we work on maintain a safe status.  So, the crew I was on was finishing up the first full job that I worked on.  It was time to safety wire, and Tim was there waiting to do his inspection.  He sees the first wire that I twisted up, jiggles it, and says "That's not gonna work.  It needs to be tighter than that."   Ok.  I definitely need to get better at it, so I go for it again.  I am working my way across the top piece while the work leader takes care of the bottom.  He finishes before me, and Tim walks over to check out what I'm doing.  He looks at the bottom wires as I am finishing up the top.  "Did you do these?" he asked.  "Nope." "I can tell.  And I can also tell that you DID do these..." he replied,  laughing as he jiggled the entire line of loose safety wires that I had just completed.  I was so frustrated that I just couldn't get these wires tight, but he was cool about it and made it laugh worthy.  I appreciated that.

The next time I do safety wire, I will be thinking about Tim.  And I will make sure that the wires are tight enough! 

As we think back on our short time (sadly) with Tim, we think of a man who took our daughter's hand and promised to love and cherish her.  Tim did just that, and more.  We never doubted his love for Morgan for a second.  We felt that she would always be safe and secure with Tim.  On our trips to the Outer Banks and our holidays together, Tim was a part of our family from the very start.  He was like we had another son.  He was there for us and he was there for Morgan.  When Shelby came into their lives, he took his responsibility as a father seriously.  He loved Shelby so much and it showed every time he held her or looked at her.  We are saddened for Morgan and Shelby, but we know that they will be together again.  Tim, we have your back.  We will be there for Morgan and Shelby.  Whatever it takes.

I am so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. I only worked with him a short time at VRT. What I will remember is how welcome he made me feel after I had moved so far to get a job. He always had a kind word and helped me move big heavy parts without hesitation. My deepest condolences to Tim's family and may that gentleman rest in peace. I will never forget him

Tim was a great friend and protector. I first met him in 2006 and was there when he met his now wife, Morgan. Although I hadn't seen him in over a decade, I loved seeing their love blossom on Facebook, and was over the moon when I found out they were expecting. Tim was one-of-a-kind. He blessed every friend he had. It is hard to lose someone so young, but it helps knowing he was saved and where he is now. Much love and prayers to his family and other friends. I have included a photo from Thanksgiving 2007.

I worked with Tim when I was working with him at the VRT. He was a really decent guy. We shared a love of firearms. He was a bright spot in the world. He will be missed.

I have known Tim since he was probably a junior in high school. He "found" me via a car club website I made in college and instantly took interest when he saw I also had a Ford Ranger like him.  When I visited home, we caught up, made friends with other fellow minitruckers and car enthusiasts, and over the years shared some good memories. We still kept in touch over the years, and I have no doubt how much he cared for and loved his family, friends, and faith (plus classic cars and firearms here and there). I was shocked to hear the sad news, and offer my sincere condolences to his wife and daughter, and family. Gone too soon but will never be forgotten. 

I worked with Tim long before we became neighbors.  He worked on the Carriers and I worked for the crane shop that lifted all his components to the flight deck.  One day he contacted me asking about a house he and Morgan were looking to buy next to mine. 

My friendship with Tim, Morgan,  their beautiful daughter Shelby and their dog Kimber began to grow over time.

Tim and I quickly realized our shared passion for firearms, he was into building custom special opps/sniper style weapons and I was into any weapon used for hunting.  He and I always talked about me taking him hunting and him taking me to the long range, but we ran out of time.   We used to stand outside a lot of days talking about the people we both knew from work and of course comparing guns.  At least until Morgan pulled up with the baby,  then his attention would always turn to them greeting them at the car every day as a loving husband and father.

Tim's sense of humor, his dedication to his family and friends, his professionalism at work and his passion for living are things most people should take to heart and try and live their lives as he did.

God speed sniper, I will miss you.






Tim was a great friend that always had your back. We had many nights together long ago when he took to helping out my band at our shows, and he took to that job with the skill and professionalism that he would later go on to show in his career supporting our nation. Although I only saw him time to time in recent years, I was always happy to see him with his great and happy attitude and it always seemed like not a day had been missed. This news has hit me hard and I offer condolences to all friends and family and everyone Tim's life touched. 

I didn't really know Tim much..But every time he came to pick shelby up from school I always remember seeing shelby get soo happy and excited.. Her eyes always lit up..and he was always so kind to everyone and very respectful..you will be so missed..but know that we will always be here to watch over our shelby no matter what..❤❤❤
