Vivian Emaline Degner passed away on May 17th, 2018. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Virginia Beach in 1973. Vivian was beloved by all who knew her for her sharp wit, her keen sense of humor, her outspokenness, and her impeccable style. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and a cherished friend whose brilliant smile lit up any room she entered.
She was predeceased by her parents and brothers. She is survived and deeply mourned by her husband Richard, her daughters, Gabrielle (Roger) Verrill and Michelle (James) Dean, her son Paul (Marcia) Degner and many beloved friends. She is also survived by eight grandchildren (Christopher, Joshua, Tiffany, Ashleigh, Amanda, Nikolas, Erin, and Brandon) and four great-grandchildren (Alexander, Marleigh, Joshua, and Zane). A memorial service will be held July 28th at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
