Dear April, Jeanne Carryl, and Mark, I am very torn over the passing of Walter.  He was a lifelong friend who had a special place in my heart.  When Jeanne Carryl and I were hanging out together, he would play tricks on us.  He made us laugh all the time.  It is great that true friends always say they love you and you know they mean it!!!  I will always remember the wonderful times we all had, the sad times we bonded together to help one another get through it, and the memories of our brothers and parents who have gone on before us.  Take care and know that you all are in my prayers...that you will find peace in knowing Walter is safe in the arms of Jesus, that he walks with our parents and Clyde and Dale and many other friends....Love you all, Jeanne Sue

I hold many special memories of my cousin Walter from our childhood days growing up in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  We never lost touch during the years that followed.  He was a loving father to his children and a faithful husband to April.  No one can ever take his place.  How we wish that he were still with us.  One day we will meet again in a land where no sickness and sorrow can be found.  May God bless his family in the days that follow.  We all loved Walter Carter.

My precious brother.  What a sweet man.  How I love you.  You were a special man with tons of talent.

Father you showed me and taught me so much. Everything I am is because of you. I will miss the days learning from you or from the days of helping you learn new things .I am so glad that other people have been touched by you as I have been .Well I will not say good bye I will say I will see you later. My father my best friend my teacher  my student at times .I love you dad and I will miss you always .

One of the absolute kindest people I have ever met. Never talked about himself, everything was about "Mrs. April". My prayers and condolences go out to the family. Goodbye old friend, you are missed.

Walter, you showed me what it's like to be married to the one you love. I will never forget that.

God bless you and keep you. I am better for having known you. Karen and I loved talking to you at A&P. There is no one like you, kind, friendly, with a fantastic spirit.
You will be missed and we will always think about you when we visit the range.
