Mr. Vann was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Civil Service after thirty-eight years of service. He was a Mason and a member Princess Anne Plaza Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Eleanor Vann, five children Sherion Griffin, Myrom Riggs, JoAnne Hill, William S. Vann, Jr., and Carol Evans, a sister Nancy Barrington and their families.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 3, at 11:00 a.m. in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home by Pastor Ron Lee. A graveside service will follow at Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery at 1p.m.
