Wilma L. Ely

Wilma was a member of Princess Anne Baptist church for 50 years and was a wonderful Sunday school teacher who was well versed in the bible. She was loved by her many church friends whom she considered her extended family. Our family appreciates how supportive they all were during her long illness.

Wilma was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved singing for her church, being a homemaker and working in her yard growing beautiful flowers. Although her family is grateful she is finely at peace resting in God’s love, she will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers during her illness. A special thank you to her hospice team who have helped us so much.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Andrew of 51 years, daughter Crystal, sister Eva Powers Quesada, sister Shirley, brother Lee, parents WP and Pearl Stapleton.

Wilma leaves behind daughter Kathryn, grandson Clif (wife) Lynne, grandson JR, Granddaughter Shayna (husband) Ryan, three great-grandsons Caden, Caleb, and Christian.

A service will be conducted by Pastor Lee of Princess Anne Plaza Baptist Church on Saturday, September 27th at 11:00 AM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, VA. Burial to follow at Princess Anne Memorial Park.
