Yvonna Gay Santos

Yvonna was born on August 6, 1940 in Red Star, WV to the late Frank and Cora Wise. She was the wife of the late, Jaime Santos Sr. Yvonna proudly served her country in the United States Navy. She continued her career as the Director of Education of Kee Business College /Centura College for 30 years and was a real estate agent for the past 30 years. Yvonna was very active in her community, supporting the Aragona Pembroke Little League, coaching softball, working with the Girl Scouts of America, and was a member of the VFW, the Moose Lodge, Virginia Heights Baptist Church, and Princess Anne Church of Christ. Yvonna was an avid dancer at all the local establishments.

She is survived by son, Jaime Santos Jr.; daughters, Karen Santos and her companion, Crystal Arthur and Sharon Black and her husband, Elbert Jr.; grandchildren, Edward Black, David Black and his girlfriend, Chelsey Smith, Stephen Black and his girlfriend, Danielle Fogg, Krystal Black and boyfriend, Ryan Archambeau, and Jerime; sisters, Donna Hehe, and Kista Stanley and her husband Stoney; brother, Rev. Frank Wise; and companion, Dave Taggart.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2011 at the funeral home, officiated by her brother, Rev. Frank Wise. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
