Mrs. McCoy was born in North Carolina and was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Jenny Scott and her husband Joseph Marshall McCoy Sr. and her son Scott Marshall McCoy. She retired as a City of Virginia Beach School Teacher's Assistant.
Survivors include her children; son Joseph McCoy Jr. and wife Pinky, daughter Lisa Hickey and husband Tom; 6 grandchildren Trey, Piper and Patrick McCoy, Joshua and Jacob Hickey, Corynn McCoy and two great grandchildren Knox Hickey and Tatum Ridges.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 3, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 4, 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to New Heights Fellowship Church in her memory.
Yvonne's fun spirit and sassiness will always be remembered in our hearts with love and laughter. She cherished nothing more in life than her family and she doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren with a full heart.
