Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Phoebe (Sheetz) Ellerbeck. She was the loving sister of Carol Ellerbeck, Jean Green, Brian Ellerbeck, Gail Marcil, and the late Patricia Ellerbeck and Paula Fox. She also leaves five nieces and two nephews.
Barbara had worked at Travelers Insurance for 20 years and then as a financial service agent at First Data Corporation and Mellon Bank.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 7th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
