Born in Providence, Beverly was the cherished daughter of the late Vincent E. and Sarah E. (Allen) Lucas. She was predeceased by her siblings Vincent E. Lucas Jr., Mary E. Marvel, George A. Lucas, Patricia A. Mann, and Thomas E. Lucas. Beverly was surrounded by love throughout her life and found great joy in her many nieces and nephews from the Lucas and Pennine families. She also leaves behind treasured friends, caring neighbors, and former colleagues who enriched her life in countless ways.
Beverly dedicated 35 years to New England Telephone, beginning her career as an operator and rising to the position of Manager before retiring.
Though small in stature, Beverly’s warmth, kindness, and spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her absence will leave a big space in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18th from 8:30-10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907.
